Miss You

Miss You

A Poem by AnthonyTodd

I miss you.

I miss your crystal eyes that see into my soul.

I miss the lips that tenderly speak of loving things.

I miss that smile that brings the light of God into my world.

I miss you.

I miss the warmth of your closeness.

I miss the hand that so softly molds itself to mine.

I miss the beautiful head that nestles under my chin.

I miss you.

I miss the silly laughter at the stupidest things that fills our days.

I miss your hair that I pull from my mouth when we’re close.

I miss freedom we have to be totally goofy in each other’s presence.

I miss you.

I miss the sweetness of kisses that fill make my tastebuds sing.

I miss the contentment of being together without having to speak.

I miss the peace of mind that just your presence brings my life.

I miss you.

I miss the complete transparency of our hearts shared with one another.

I miss the knowing that you’re thinking of me.

I miss the way I feel knowing you are within reach of a needed hug.

I miss you.

I pray you miss me, too.
