Which Will Sooner or Later Flee...A Poem by LyricalNightsA poem about being carried off into a restful area and soaking it in until it's time to go on again.
My safe harbor's a ship, adrift in the aimless sea
I cannot resist, how the motions, to and fro, set me free the wave rocks me to sleep to a nautical lullaby... Each wave caresses the beast that hungers/plunders inside The ocean spirits sing such a sweet melody: "I will steal you away to a place you have never known inside the majestic fog, where rain, initially, calls home made for warriors to finally have rest, each raindrop, a drum beat, honoring the heart within your chest Burdens are thrown overboard like anchors, without chain or tie no longer need to gasp for air as it fills you while you lie The sweet smell of the waters washes away the tar of yesteryear all you need to do now is relax and be content while you are here..." Through the portholes, are portals through dimension and time where should I wander to next, infinite possibilities intriguing and sublime No need to decide for now as I rest for the future that will be For now, just for this moment, is my relaxation which will sooner or later flee... © 2019 LyricalNightsAuthor's Note
