Calm Outside

Calm Outside

A Poem by Anthony J

"
Still for a moment then rushed
Half empty, fully aware

Tired eyes
Nobody ever sees
Same thoughts never really leave

Slow lines move through the fields
long, silent and green
Beneath the surface it's hard to tell
soiled, dark but clean

No movement surely makes no noise
hardly in distress
Suppressed to empty numb-fullness
but living nonetheless
