Words Regretted

Words Regretted

A Poem by AAmell

Words fall off lips like leaves lost to the wind,

And nothing can be saved, nothing controlled.

Time is that one variable that is beyond our hold

Where once words are said, no one can rescind.

Author's Note

AAmell
A practice with elements such as Consonant sounds (W's, L's, and S's), and Internal Rhyme. The first line hit my brain, and I had to finish the poem from there.

This poem had interesting rhymes in it! Very good job! The only critique I have is that you put "leafs" instead of "leaves".

Thank you, Rachel! I can't believe that slipped past me. I have made the correction.
