FrustrationA Poem by Kenneth AnstissPoem about the frustrations of an older person and technology
Just how frustrated can an old man be,
When an iPad is there ,right next to me. I look and I stare, at this blinking light. I scratch my head, that can’t be right! I hit a button, and the screen goes blank, I was playing a game and I was in a tank! No more war games do I want to play, Technology sucks, Is all I have to say. My fingers don’t seem to hit the right key, It could be the arthritis ,or my dodgy knee. It keeps giving way when I’m standing around, It’s difficult enough on the underground. No one stands for old men anymore, Now my iPads fallen on the floor! lights are flashing, is it going to ignite! I grab the pad it’s now gone dead,it’s lost the fight. It’s alright grandad ,I can soon fix that, Said a young man sitting with a funny hat. His fingers raced across the pad. Strange it made me feel, a little sad. It’s ok now said the man with the hat. My stiff stubby fingers grab it ,old and fat. Here take it ,it’s no use to me, I just can’t get on with technology!
