In no time at all, such strong, deeply rooted oaks were uprooted.
Yet the humble grass, the strength of the pastures, remained,
Small blades, thin and weak, bent and swayed with the storm.
They lay rooted, enduring the flood and destruction,
While the giants crumbled, lost in the storm’s eruption.
When should we stand strong like the oak,
And when should we bend like the grass in the storm's choke?
O nature, you teach us through countless examples,
If only we knew when to make and whom to embrace as our teacher.
In this life full of opportunities, relationships, and wisdom,
May we learn when to stand tall, and when to yield with grace.
A fine põem, full of wisdom. Sometimes nature can surprise us when the mighty oak can fall while the grasses bend with the wind (flexible) and survive. Reminds me of the bombed sites of London. Little flowers eventually grew there, against all odds. Such resilience. Your poem, much enjoyed. Thank you poet.
