I like the shape of the poem...form when it comes to shape of the lines can tell a lot...there is a growing in this poem that does not stop.
Much like the growth I feel in someone who never forgets to appreciate nature.
I used to spend summers in Vermont as a kid and I have always loved the farms, cows, pastures...country in general...and I appreciate it even moreso now. I was from NYC...so I have had both offered....nature always wins.
And we need to appreciate what nature gives us besides its beauty....your poem expresses that.

So interesting to know your experiences at the farms and your descriptions faintly reminds me of our stay in the Albany Rochester areas. We were in awe of the unending pastures and fields as you drive by.

Sometimes we want to go back to our old self(only if portable available 😅)...
They say... "If everything looks same, then world will not be boring??... "
But still our nature and human race won't work in that way...
We are in the drama , and we play...
And each day
a good deed
is indeed.
Yesterday I just had same thoughts as yours...😅✨️

A wondrous write which captures our longing to grow up when we are small, then to be talented when we are young. A working life keeps us busy, as does making a house into a home and filling it with love for our beloved and our children. We really don't have much time for ourselves then, so it's only as we grow older and retire from work outside the home, when our children have left the nest, that we have time on our hands to spend time with our beloved and with Mother Nature. You have captured this superbly in this excellently constructed poem, Aarti. I love how now have time to really see the stars, the moon as it glows, the little animals (Mother Nature's children), the beautiful mountains, the wise and beautiful trees, but as you so rightly say, human beings become greedy and never thankful for the gifts received. I love this sublime write, Aarti! Be very proud of you! You are a very talented poetess and your words have universal appeal. Gratitude for sharing, dear Aarti...
