Do you hear me.. Do you feel it too?

Do you hear me.. Do you feel it too?

A Poem by Aarti Sriram
"

Lovelorn, When you miss someone special, true feelings

"

Do you hear me.. Do you feel it too?

Beautiful scene of the sky and rising sun,

Twilight rays through the clouds quickly run.

I keep my eyes alert to every detail, and hum,

All in my head, describing these to someone.

Walking through the fields and trails,

The morning energy and speed never frail.

The beauty of nature keeps me tied,

All in my head, I tell him what I saw, starry-eyed.

The day starts with his thoughts after dreams have ended,

The whole-time narrating, soothing, and cajoling, extended.

What else can bring him joy, like the drinks?

All in my head, I share with him what I think.

The trees, the pastures, the charm of city lights,

Speak of love, company, and friendship in sight.

Oh, where are you? It’s been so long since you’ve been away.

I wait, heaving sighs, looking for you , please come if you may….

Dear Aarti, you have captured exquisitely that inner lonely feeling of missing someone so special in this superbly inked write. I love how you tell him all of your joys, sorrows, about the countryside, the city lights, friends and all your little bits of news. Believe me, he hears each loving word you say! SO lovely to start each day with thoughts of him and with love in your heart, Aarti. You express your feelings with conviction for this lovely person missing from your life physically, but not spiritually. I get a fatherly feeling as I read and am inclined to feel that the person you are missing so much is your beloved father or the person who was a father figure in your life? The purest of love flows between you both. I love this poem, it brings so much comfort to the reader in each and every line. Please never worry about the rules of grammar when writing. Just let your words flow as they come to you. I see absolutely nothing wrong with your beautiful poem, Aarti. You have done justice to your feelings and your poem will help another who is battling their feelings of missing someone so beloved too. A privilege to read! A heartfelt THANK YOU! for sharing, dear poetess...
