When I am with my husband

When I am with my husband

The days and nights are festive

Even the chaos is meditative

We cook shop gym and talk

Routine is fun round the clock.

 

We are accommodative of each other

in the seasons of winter and summer

we dont ask much from one another

but openly complain if we miss the humour

 

We are seen as jovial life companions

elders and youngsters notice our unions

we love to laugh discuss and plan

our results make us our mutual fans

 

Our extensions are our kids

who see role models amids

when we fight, they feel we need therapy

but soon banter we return to normalcy.

 

Life has been kind and blessed

Our folks have always supported

We took risks and challenges

Together made  big families balance.

 

We learnt that our nation is great

Traditional Patriotism Compassionate

Are qualities we like to integrate

Reaching the summit and more to navigate.

my first poetry, learning to write my thoughts, feeling and thinkings comes easy but articulating the same spirit....haha!
