This Is MeA Poem by N. N. GraingerThis Isn't Actually me by the way
This is me Here is me, I’m sitting in the sky. I just watch the world as it passes me by. I just happen to be the air you breath. I’m still the air, that you still need- and more than ever I wish you could see: I’m above the clouds but it rains on me. I know it feels like the world’s on your shoulder, But that cold you feel is just me watching over- With broken bones and broken wings. My soul still hurts and my eyes still sting- And they rain on you, I’m sorry, they do, But I’d cry again if ever you knew: That your face is fading from my eye, no longer as vivid as the one that’s mine. The one I see and wish I didn’t know; It haunts me everywhere I go. so forever swept on a tide of emotion, As I walk alone through rolling open. This is me as the story is written. you need to know I’ve learnt to listen. I listen to all of those things you say. I hear your heart every time it aches. And I’m begging you never say goodbye: It’s still me; I’ve learnt to fly. © 2009 N. N. GraingerAuthor's Note
