Evening Mass (temp title?)

Evening Mass (temp title?)

A Poem by Aria

Close your eyes and hold your breath

Fall to your knees as they draw near

Whisper the prayers that create death

Give them everything to fear

Steady the earth beneath your feet

Keep watchful eyes of your Kings and Queens

Sacrificing all but defeat

And be not crippled by their sorrowful scenes

Drench the grass with your blood

And render their bodies helpless on the ground

Make them drown within your flood

As their echoing cries weave a beautiful sound

Rise with the Sun

As the stars fall with their lullaby

Feel your hearts beat within the run

And marvel at your Kings and Queens in the morning sky

I would leave everything as it is, very nicely written.

I really loved your poem. It could be perfectly added to one of my poems. Your imagery is really well constructed. We are drawn in right away and the emotions build. Will continue to read your stuff.

I don't do well with talking about myself so I will simply say that my writing sets the stage for my imagination to play. But more than that, every piece I write, whether a poem or novel, is a bit of .. more..
