Keep An Eye On Me

Keep An Eye On Me

A Poem by Aria

Keep an eye on me. Watch as lightning kisses the ground while you scream a lovely sound and I take my pound of flesh. Keep and eye on me. Watch the rain flood with your blood as you crumble to your knees with ease. Please, oh please...keep an eye on me for I am quite the sight to witness in this storm as you taste the waste from your lips. Slips of your tongue and my gun to your head because you left me for dead. So, keep an eye on me for I'm the last thing you'll ever see.

Author's Note

Aria
Post-break up piece. I don't appreciate liars or cowards. A person's actions do not go without consequence. We are capable of causing pain to others. Unimaginable pain. This piece is that pain staring that person in the face. A retribution of sorts, if you will. Long story short- don't be a jerk and if you are, expect to down more violent poison than you served.

About
I don't do well with talking about myself so I will simply say that my writing sets the stage for my imagination to play. But more than that, every piece I write, whether a poem or novel, is a bit of .. more..
