Shadows Lie

Shadows Lie

A Poem by Joseph Mulpeter
"

A poem about loss.

"

In the whisper of the evening’s sigh,

Memories linger where shadows lie.

Time, a thief that steals away,

What once was bright begins to grey.

Echoes of laughter, now soft and dim,

A tender presence, a love, a hymn.

In the heart’s quiet chamber, a space remains,

For bonds unbroken, though marked by pain.

Yet within each tear, a glimmer of grace,

For loss, though heavy, holds beauty in its trace.

Any loss is hard but mind always wish as if it never happened. Loss has its own majesty same with grief too

Loss leaves a heavy heart, a vacuum, a willingness to be whole again. You have described it marvelously.
