Darkest Night

Darkest night

 The sun will consume the day

And do with it what it may

But when the time comes

For the fall off today

In order for the start of tomorrow

You will find that night

Is not such a delight

And you rather have the day

But its night anyway

And no one has a say

To whether or not

It should stay that way

And so the darkness cloaks the light

Till it no longer is bright

It cloaks it

And

Brightest day

Becomes

Darkest night
