The Towers

The Towers

The Towers

There were once two towers

Two very tall towers

Deep in the heart of New York

They were symbols of freedom these towers

And reached high up to the sky

They were majestic and beautiful

And they were equal in their majesty

People said they looked like twins

 Casting their shadow

And message of freedom

Across New York

They always stood tall these towers

Until that day

That one terrible, horrible, sad day

When the evil men formed their evil plan

And flew those planes real low

That day that two planes

Hit two towers

That day things changed

And people cowered

But they did not cower for long

That day we stayed strong

 That day they saw

Failure

Defeat

And an unsuccessful mission

Because that day we fought back

That day we took a stand

And later we got them for that day

And said dare to try it again

They answered

No
