I believe in the power of words

The fact tomorrow is a mystery

The little things mean the most

The sun will always rise in the morning

The world is an ugly place

     Happiness; Sadness; Love.

 

But the beliefe that one day

         no one will ever hurt again

is crazy, mental.

 

I believe that evil will always exist in some way

I believe though, that love can overcome anything

I believe the sun will always set in the evening

     Depression; Hope; Anger.

 

And I believe in the fact that everyone

     Should be treated equal.

I want you to know that I just sat and read this entire book in about ten minutes. Although it doesn't seem to always stick to the same rhythm, and thogh the story of it isn't always cohesive, it is extremely personal and somehow retains a common theme throughout. I would personally say you should change things around a bit and edit the poems here and there so that there is a clearer beginning, middle, and end, but I thought the idea behind it was lovely and original, and many of the poems deeply personal and well written. You have a very straightforward way of saying things, without sugarcoating your words or the world, without getting romantic, just looking at things as you truly see them. It was a little depressive, but not in the "I cut myself and want attention" kind of way that most teens write. It spoke more universal truths, and with a little more of a story infused into the poems, so that it progresses up to this last one, I think this could be really beautiful. Thanks for making my day with such a unique write.
