once upon a time

was never just enough

I hated him so

for he made me see things

my soul would never dare show

 

I hated all I saw

but I knew it was the truth

everyone, everything they said

their lies were the proof

 

everynight i would cry

and lay in bed thinking

but my eyes became dry

for i was not even blinking

 

the roof above me opened up

and the rain started to fall

but a little ray of sunshine

he repaired it all
