A Portrayal of Suicide

A Portrayal of Suicide

A Poem by Anonymous722

Eerie trees

dead leaves

my brothers eternity.

blackened dirt

twigs broken, hurt

my brother lurked.

no light

live by night

he challenged life.

distant whispers

branches loom as triggers

my soul they murder.

Sorry for your loss and extremely well written poetry, on such a serious subject!

This is put very very nicely, it is one of those poems that go at the...short, rhyming, sweet approach. Where the lines dance off each other, but do not possess a girth to them..so more like a small jig from line-to-line. I liked this one a lot.

Thank you!
Oh no.... Im so sorry for your loss. I have been diagnosed as clinically depressed, and know what this feels like. Im so sorry.
The poem was not only a beautiful portrayal of loss and suicide, but a wonderful tribute to your brother.

I know first hand what wanting to die feels like - I was depressed for several years and eventually had to take medication. . .I'm so sorry for you loss.
