I Come

I Come

A Poem by Anonymous722

I come with severed limbs,

suicidal thoughts,

scars on my wrists,

broken, tired, and lost.

I come with pain reflected,

in moistened eyes,

I come, pain deflected,

by my inner lies.

I come clothed in black sin,

shed this evil dress,

I come garnished within,

clear the sin at this request.

Someone repenting of their sins maybe?
Another good emotional piece of poetry.

'I come clothed in black sin,
shed this evil dress,
I come garnished within,
clear the sin at this request' - the best verse in this poem.

by my inner lies.))

Thank you!
Deep, dark and with some vivid images. I really like:
"I come, pain deflected,
by my inner lies"
because it speaks of how we torture ourselves from the inside, feeding off a distorted reality.
A great poem that I enjoyed :) Penny
