CrushA Poem by Austin SmithYou might've seen this poem before; that's because Loving To Commit Kindness was a profile that I had started anew (I deleted it 3/18/10). This is truly my poem and, as always, I hope you enjoy.Crush Much brighter, deeper pools, men do revere; To say yours glisten, would be to have lied. Yet closer, I can see it all so clear, The shy, yet intricate design inside. An angel’s voice was never in your breast, Yet words of one must have been there inscribed. The only voice I hear to which I rest, The comfort . . . tears of joy, your words imbibed. You view your form with no will to extol; I glorify it healthy in my mind. The only form to which I see your soul, To see, to feel the temple you’ve refined. I see you smile, and this is what I yearn: That you might use my being in return. © 2010 Austin SmithAuthor's Note
