Innocence

Innocence

A Poem by Austin Smith
"

A haiku of innocence. Inspired by two Disney movies, "Pinocchio" and "Oliver and Company".

"

What of innocence?

She forgives readily, yet

Cannot set us right.

this is very deep, and thought provoking.
everytime we are ready to be innocent, we claim her.
bc innocence is ignorance, and ignorance is bliss.
but, this bliss locks us in a room, a room with limits so direct and specific that
even freedom is limited.
Real bliss is with freedom. and freedom is without innocence.
the right to 'know.'
well done,
thanks for sharing.
