Modern LoveA Poem by Austin SmithI hope you enjoy =)
Modern Love I’ve read too many poems from broken hearts. That’s all one hears from people nowadays. What matters now is finding broken parts, And using them to go their distant ways. A succubus, or an adulterer, A greedy w***e, or a monopolist. Or even simple silence may deter The will to battle through the blinding mist. So, do you wish to fight through these tough times, Like everyone’s supposed to give their best? True love is one that can forgive all crimes, Forgive you . . . Forgive me . . . time does the rest. You don’t want my perfection, I should know; I would have failed you many years ago.
