Dream

Dream

A Poem by Annie

As you're thrown down

helplessly

I watch with ease

As you wail

desperately

A solemn tear runs down my cheek

As she hurts you

I sit silently

Watching others dream

I cannot dream as they do

so peacefully and soundly;

their beliefs so pure

I cannot sleep as they do

In the midst of such terror

That has now become my childish nightmare.

Until this nightmare ends

I pray...

somehow this darkness

will turn to light.

I really do like this. Its not over-wordy which makes it great. The emotion flows well through it and I deffinitely had a good image going. Seriously, good write.

I agree with Ari, it is filled with emotion.

I like that it is vague, but it is so naked.

It shows so much without distinct, exact, close details.

Good write:)
