M Poem

A Poem by Annie Taylor

I don't want to become the madness that is her existence
but find myself slowly being overtaken
by a mind of her design

Goddamn I wish you were an alcoholic
so I wouldn't feel bad about leaving your a*s
but you're just an emotionally confused human being
taught how not to love by another emotionally confused being
And I just wish I could etch it into both your heads
that you're worth something
Worth it to me

To see a smile grace your lips is like birds singing
To see a smile grace your lips, upon your own doing
Now that would be a new beginning
