BurningA Poem by AnnieLouI want to be free from the toils of man. I want to turn a blind eye. I want to ignore that static disgrace that grazes over golden fields and walls of steel. If there is one that does not feel it they soon will. The end of the world is surely near But alas, there’s still a slip; a sliver of hope some choose to ignore. It knocks on every door, and like a child it is not heard amongst the cries of silly politicians with burning red eyes. © 2019 AnnieLouReviews
