I cant hear you anymore

You say these things
as if the words don't hurt
as if I don't feel the pain
as if I truly hurt you too

I sit there and take it
as if you aren't there
as if I cant hear you
as if things you say have no bite

I wait for you to stop
as if you will just let it go
as if I don't believe your words
as if there is nothing I want to say to you

I know it isn't worth it
to fight back
to defend myself
to stop you from hurting me

I know it will be over soon
as if you get bored
as if there's nothing left for you here
as if I am no longer there

I can only sit through it
as if I cant hear you
as if I don't believe your words
as if I don't feel the pain

But I do.
