Satisfy me

Satisfy me

A Poem by Inkcognito
"

should you still need me, should you still want me...

"

Do you not understand

the raw emotions of my being

do you not realize that

my heart needs to feed

off your undiluted words

Do you not see me

or register my hunger

hoping, longing, yearning

for a mere morsel of secondhand

words to fall from your mouth

Do you not know

that I want to make connection

only to realize that our

connection is not what you need

and your attention is diverted

I feel you drifting away

like a fallen leaf in a river

as I reach to pick you out

you change direction

float swiftly towards another

I am no rag doll

to be dragged about

dressed up for convenience

I have a heart, warm blood

a mind filled with thoughts

I am still here

I am still waiting

should you still need me

should you still want me

come for me, satisfy me

Oh i do i do i do, what lovely words you use, floating like a leaf, in the rivers of silent time, you reach out, only to see him caught up in someone else's fishing line. oops where did that line come from.

You darn skippy he should. How dare they grow bored so easily! How dare they leave us on the shelf until it serves THEIR needs. You preach words that fill my own heart. Deliciously filling, Ink. Absolutely delicious.

A very beautiful poem. Well written and brave.

This poem is bigger than the initial impression of inattention of lovers. It speaks to every relationship of significance both human and divine. I don't mind the image but I think small ones serve as an accent. The words and form, the theme and the composition, the style and the phrasing all need to be in harmony, as you have done. Power is most significant when under embellished.

This may sound odd, but I find this arousing on many levels, but who said I'm even, even.
