Another "almost" stormy afternoon

Another "almost" stormy afternoon

A Poem by Annebelle Ashire
"

depression hurts

"

.
It's amazing,
this depression.
Like stop lights turning red,
one by one,
down the road...

no control.

I almost forgot how
delicious the rain smells
when it's quiet outside...
Nearly misplaced the comfort
of a storm cloud,
pregnant with rain water -
mid-summer afternoon.
"Rescue me"
Echos from car speakers,
and the thunder introduces herself
to pedestrians out for a stroll
beneath the now vanquished sunlight.
A rather relaxing breeze of cool air
sweeps past the windows
and the sky grows darker,
as does the cloud overhead.
Half blue,
Half gray
How cliche
.
