+ My Angel +

+ My Angel +

A Poem by Annebelle Ashire

If the end of the world came tomorrow
Would you still be holding my hand?
Would you still be the one to understand
that...

[chorus]
You don't have to be God's angel
To know that you can fly.
You dont' have to have Mercy's wings
Just to reach the sky.
[chorus]

All you have to do
Is tell me
"i love you"
And all you have to be
Is just yourself,
Around me

You can spoil me with fancy things
And silver rings
But in the end all I want
Is you holding my hand
Just like you are right now
Just like you are this way
With me

I only wish that you could see

[chorus]

So tell me
What is it you see
When you look into my eyes

Because when I stare into yours
I see
Un-con-ditional love
One that will never leave my side
One that will wipe the tears I've
Cried

So you can spoil me with fancy things
And silver rings
But it will never make a
Difference

Because all that I require
Is my heart's burning desire

My eyes must be playing games with me
...
Because it's an angel that I see
