Remember?
I don't know where I was that day.
I disappeared, basically ran away.
I can't believe what I've become.
After all those years of innocence,
Look what I've done.
A little girl with long brown hair
And a healthy baby glow,
It just isn't there.
She wore dresses and played games.
Now, she grew up, and much different too.
No one would recognize her, not even you.
She's a little older than before,
She doesn't wear those dresses any more.
Short black hair, torn up jeans,
Writing all over is what it seems.
Labels were given,
And silence is where she's driven.
Old friends start to leave.
"They're just busy" she tries to believe.
Chewed up nails, black nail polish slowly chips.
Mascara and eye liner escape from her eyes,
As unkind tears fall past her lips.
Everywhere she goes she feels judged,
Fake tattoos start to smudge.
She hears laughter behind her back,
And comments saying "I swear she's on cr[ack]".
I can't tell you where or when things went wrong,
But I can say that Little girl's been invisible all along...
