Getting Away With It

Getting Away With It

A Poem by Annebelle Ashire

Why in God's Holy Name

Must you treat me so juvenile ?

Your minor annoying game

Is becoming quite senile.

You yell, spit, and curse

Vomiting your lies.

Eventually making this whole thing worse

I [hate] your laughter,

To my anger it twists and ties!

Do you get off on this abuse?

There's no food for weeks

And a pay - check is your excuse?

They all see what you're doing

And yet, still no one speaks!

What do you think child support is for?

One hundred dollars a week you receive

And you spend it on credit - cards you didn't pay off before,

As if the shrouded truth is something I'll believe.

You know, for an "adult"

You're acting pretty childish.

This was never my fault,

Though, I bet you wish.

Omg this is probably one of the most amazing pieces I've read so far I love this!!!
"Why in God's Holy Name
Must you treat me so juvenile ?
Your minor annoying game
Is becoming quite senile."

That is my favorite part because I relate to it the most,
The way you express how it feels to be treated in such way as being ignored or not being thought of is very on point!
Great write!!
