Distant Star

Distant Star

A Poem by Anne Timmins

Make me a home in your heart
and furnish it with humble,
hand-made things. A sturdy
wooden chair or two,
a throw-rug woven
of the weaver’s love and wit.

And let me sit in there with you
and watch the light change
through the window.
The blessed light.
The warmth of a distant star.

The simple things are all we need sometimes. Just the bare necessities of love.

Loving this piece and the complexity it takes you along such a tangent and reels you in with its effortless depth. So lovely to see your work

such an elegant and rustic piece. like there is no better place than in the simple enrapture of a lovers home, and home is where the heart is.

Simple, and sweet. Romantic, not flowery. A practical love.
