I don't want a Knight in armour

I don't want a Knight in armour

A Poem by Anne Timmins

I don't want a Knight in armour
neither shining or tinfoil...

I don't want someone with riches
just someone with heart joyous..

I don't care about the cars
the money or the clothes
I don't care about his history
his lineage
nor a rose..

I don't wish to be bought jewellery
or a castle built for me

Just put simply
what i wish
is someone right for me..

Someone with a heart
a piece reserved for me
someone who accepts my gift
a piece of mine to keep..

I'll forgo all the flowers
for a simple smile or three

I'll forgo all the foreign trips
for a windswept chat
a moonlit walk
a hand outstretched to me..

What a beautiful piece of writing.

I love the simplicity of this poem. I would suggest using a couple more commas here and there, as it might flow better in certain spots. And I know poetic license and all all, but I personally feel the neither should be paired with nor as per grammatical convention. Up to you.:)

You are very wise. Someone to take long walk with and have long talks with. The magic of a lasting love. I like the complete poem. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
