Splashed by Tears

Splashed by Tears

A Poem by Anne Timmins

At the very thought of going immune,
I thought of tears!
Let them go dry.
Once the wish was on my lips,
I failed to utter.
My heart screamed in silence
You are going to lose your sensitivity
My soul cried in vigilance
Beware! You are going to turn dry
Splashed by the rainy thoughts
Paused for a second,
Out of realm…
I thought...
No...
I can’t go dry!!!

A emotional ride in the poem. I agree. When we lose tears. We because dead in heart. I like the ending. Some hope was left. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Praying for numbness and apathy while your heart screams to let itself be known . . . Quite the cathartic piece that portrays your wishes marvelously. Well done.

Nothing like a good long hard wet cry.
I guess you hit that wall sometimes when you become a bit cried out but there's always more in there. :)
Good poem.

Sometimes it's best to just let her rip and feel the pain...crying is cathartic. Muchly enjoyed this....
