I am all of death
A Poem by
Anne Timmins
I creep behind the shadows of life and find sadness seeping through minds I have seen flecks of pain bloody kissed lips and hastened death the din of the Devil the clamour for Heaven with the breath of death on melting snow. for I am all of death and every life shall know me and curse my kind

There's something here I'm not getting... but that's OK. It's probably not for me. Still it reeks of mystique and I appreciate it for that too.

This is a great write about being death and having to carry out your job though I'm not sure If I'll curse death since I see it as a friend taking us when our earth life is finished

As being a Soldier, knowing death and iconic yet at times beautiful with a hint of romance. Very nicely written.

the din of the Devil
the clamour for Heaven
with the breath of death
on melting snow.
beautiful imagery...if death could only look so lovely.
brilliant penning
high scores

Terrific write Anne on so many different levels....
It flowed perfectly...almost gleefully
"take that death"
Your style and the varied rhyme schemes (not forced at all...in fact, maybe even unintentional), made this write a joy to read and reread..
Like a foreign film....this definitely deserves a 2nd and 3rd look, for we're sure to miss some of the nuances and subtleties that this poem offers.
Oh...BTW wonderful imagery (4th read)
Great write, Anne

I've taking a liking to your rhyme scheme, as well as the concept. Lovely poem.

Thank you. Confused by your reference to my "rhyme scheme" as I rarely use rhymes.

Hm, must come naturally for you.
Lots to enjoy here, especially the alliteration of the din of the Devil, and the
internal rhymes like breath of death, good one.
