This is a song from 'Round Midnight (42. Siren). There is some wordless singing, which I've approximated, and then Cassandra plays the same tune on her trumpet.

Ah, the great attractor. It's a bizarre concept to think about, no matter whether you take a spiritual or a scientific or just a really bizarre approach. I'd like to hear this read with that trumpet you mentioned. You should make a youtube video of that and post it underneath this.

Not only do I not play trumpet, you wouldn't want to hear me sing (though I am a musician).

This whole series, now up to 54 episodes, is bizarre. A few are here, the rest are on my WP site. Nobody was reading/reviewing them, so I stopped posting them here.

Never, ever define how you post things by how many people comment on them. First of all, nobody reads poetry anyway so... and second of all, you give up a small amount of control over your work when you do that.

What kind of music do you call yourself a musician in?

I'm a classical musician, I compose some, and to be honest, I could play trumpet, if pressed, but not professionally. (I still have my cornet from fifth grade. :) )

Actually, people do comment on my poetry occasionally, but not on my prose, which is what most of that series is.

I'm concentrating more on my WordPress site these days, as Norton keeps flagging up the ads on this site as malware. It gets annoying.
