LET ME FLYA Poem by Annie SfreedomYou can see me but I
try to hide, The way I move
swiftly through the bloated clouds. I feel free like a snow white
dove, It takes me in its
platonic love. Let me dance like it was my last, And to never dwell on
the past. Take me up so high
where I can see the world and my wife No hesitation so let
me fly. Superior to an eagle or
an aeroplane The liberation from these
chains. Happiness awakes me with
pleasure and dignity. Now I can see the
ocean, the water stretches from afar, From green to blue to
gray I fly to meet her halfway, so let me fly. She looks at me with
a pleading smile As if I can do
something to help. Holding her
hands saying, ‘’I can be here’’ A
disturbing beeping sound next to my side, A heart monitor which showed I was
alive. Tears of misery fell on my throbbing heart, Leaving
me here I cannot face alone, but with you You’re
state of the art that’s close to my heart So
let me fly… © 2013 Annie SReviews
