I hadn’t made that choice?

If I hadn’t said that sentence?

If I hadn’t made that noise?

What if

I hadn’t flipped that switch?

If I hadn’t squeezed that trigger?

If I hadn’t pulled that plug?

What if

What if

I had always swept the corners?

If I’d always kept exploring?

If I’d always told the truth?

what if

what if

I could never have to worry

I could never have to think

I could never have to cry

But if

But if

I changed all of those choices

If I hadn't felt these feelings

If I knew what was to come

Then the choices that i'm making

And the feelings that i'm feeling

And the hopes that i’m believing

And the things that i'm not telling

And the people i'm betraying

And the things that i'm forgiving

And the music that i’m singing

And the life that i'm creating

Well

It just wouldn't be my life.
