Deep WithinA Poem by Anna RiversFor those who need a little reassurance that there is more to a person than what meets the eye...How could anyone find gold, Unless a shovel is used to dig, Regardless of how big, The pile appears and despite what has been told. Someone has to be bold, In order to tackle, That nearly impossible, Task to shovel, And to dig, And only dig. Treasure lay hidden. Searching was never a waste. It was all in good taste. And the same could be said about a stranger. Or perhaps the unsure one in the corner, The misread person trapped in their own tower, Formed by isolation. No one could ever locate the unfathomable gold within, Without giving the time to look for it deep within.
