Take This Moment

Take This Moment

A Poem by Anna Rivers

Take a mirror,
And look into your eyes,
They are pretty eyes indeed.
Take a look at your hands,
Soiled as they may be.
Feel for your feet.
Do they tickle?
Rest on the grass beneath your feet.

Are you there still?

Take a shower,
Have a bath.
Make it a monster bath.
If you need to crash,
Might I suggest,
The soft recliner?

To rest your head at long last.
