Faraway LookA Poem by AnnaMariaQQssShe doesn't hear me stumble into her personal space. A mother knows that faraway look, when she sees it For no fool is she, she knows when there's trouble brewing.
Her small frame is outlined in shadows,
as she sits alone in her thinking place. So deep in thought is her solitary confinement. She doesn't hear me stumble into her personal space. A mother knows that faraway look, when she sees it For no fool is she, she knows when there's trouble brewing. A lot of times she attempts to pry, tries to touch upon that space. That could only be dark, where her child's ideas tend to lark. Waiting for exactness, when the time is just right, until then anger parks, waiting for that one igniting spark. Then lightening strikes and both heart starts tightening. The lass lashes out, and hurts anyone who's invaded her place. She silently hurls hateful stares, for the words, no-one but Mom hears. Silence has become her escape to avoid her growing fears. No longer forswearing, nor holding inside her child like tears, the dear old prisoner interferes, and finally unleashes its wrath. She clears the room by swearing adhering to anyone in its path. Her small frame is silhouetted, no longer alone in darkness. As her mother holds her near, and gears up.... to hold onto her little one, and fight for dear life! © 2011 AnnaMariaQQss |
