Just another day
More beings created while others go outdated Growing old seems harder around here I can literally hear the sirens now running to rescue situations feared Shooken Shaken up Still going somehow still awake right now, feeling so abrupt Because to lose another life F**k Yeah she was just my age Young and wild, generic term now, Could show you where it leads But it hurts It hurts to see Everything I’ve ever known bluntly unfiltered around me It’s always been bad but it’s growing worse It’s getting hard to leave your home without a weapon to see who will hit first Who really deserves it? Who is guilty with no charge? Just trying to make it out of here, even with the tears i feel, raging against a breaking seal, someone help it’s obviously near The fire, the smoke The shot, the wound; The knife, the hole The body, the blood; The way it works, the earth is hurt Save her Save her dying dirt. But I guess you could say it’s just another day More beings created while others fade Listening for heartbeats, sounds so faint Help me make something good of this place. © 2017 Anna Charlie |
