For Anyone Who's Felt This WayA Poem by Anna CharlieJuly 14th, 2017
And here I am again,
In this mindset I can't stand. Feel so low, on my own; Overwhelmed and overthrown. Wish that I could just jot it down, Every word that never left my mouth. Sure, I'm sure, you could relate; This is for anyone who's felt this way: And I don't mean too shy to speak with ease, Too timid to tell what you think; I mean having so many opportunities, But never knowing how to leap. Never having a chance to speak, It isn't like they ever heard me; Voice so soft, body language weak. How do I break this chain and change the way I see? The way I could feel if optimism was key. Key to my chains, please send me strength; See me more than just a cry for relief. Because I want to be like them. I haven't a clue but am still willing to try, Trial and error will keep me alive. Teach me how to live it right, Bring some brightness in my life. I'm not well, and I wish I knew, A remedy not to rely on the few. To support my own, provide so much more; To be someone you've been looking for. So I can teach you how to live it right, Bring some brightness in your life; Be your place to confide in late at night. When you feel so low, and on your own; Overwhelmed and overthrown. Tell me every word you ever doubted, Let them all fall out of your mouth. I'm sure, too sure, that I could relate. I know it's hard to feel this way.
