Day (27)

This is where it sort of gets sad, but long-distance relationships these days have lost all of their romance. But all the same, I dove right in. Love is love, right?

We'd been talking on facebook for some time. This kid has the most amazing taste in music. And movies, for that matter. He likes The Smiths. The Smiths! I immediately recommended my favorite movie to him, 500 Days of Summer. He had me watch Once, a movie based around the music of The Swell Season. I bought it on iTunes as soon as I had the money, and all the songs became our songs. Soon after, the soundtrack to the latest Twilight movie came out. Obviously the movie was awful, but the soundtrack was ours. The Editors, Anya Marina, it was awesome.

Needless to say, I was head-over-heels for this boy. And eventually I got up the nerve to tell him. It was a long conversation, at least that's how I saw it. I let out this long, rambling paragraph about how I "think I may have" wanted to be "more than friends". You know how that goes, right? No one knows what you're talking about so you just agree with whatever it is being said. And it worked out.

That was the start, the official start. Not too extravagant, is it? But there it is.
