What I know better than to say in person. Or at all.

I forgive you
for being hurt
and scared
and confused
and angry

For yelling
for running
and hiding
and crying

For blaming me
For moving on
And forgetting it
Forgetting it all

I can never forgive
The words that you said
When I wanted peace
And friendship
and a smile

When no one but you used to take my side
And you threw it away
Like it meant nothing
Like it was nothing

But you I forgive
It's justified
Though we're quiet

No more apologies
Or hugs
or tears

I'll act myself
You do the same
I'll see you today
My old summer flame

The last four lines were amazing. The whole poem itself was flowing and beautiful. I love how you wrote this; in the end, I thought: "It'd take me a while to forgive a person like that..."
