A Song for Pratt

A Song for Pratt

A Poem by Miss Anna
"

This is the town I live in. I hope to add more to this song later on and may publish more updated versions, but I'm pretty proud of this as a start. Let me know what you think! :)

"

The front door’s wide open, and the sunshine’s all around

We know nothing bad’ll happen cause it’s really a small town

And there’s nothing bad around that you’ve heard of.

No one’s got the time

To do anything that they want to hide

There all working in the field

Or in the shops inside

We all just try to keep the schools running

Prom queens and the hipster scene and every single person in between

Driving down the highway in your best friend’s car

In the middle of the night just to walk down in the park

Hittin’ drive-thrus after practice talkin’ bout the homecoming royalty

It’s the most exciting thing in a town

That calls itself a city

Miss Anna
This is another song I'm not completely finished with yet, but here's the basic outline and majority of filling to be honest. Ignore the random piece about schools in the middle, I'm working on that as we speak.

I want to take this world and dust it off. Take the corruption and tears and sorrow and give it all a little shake. Make the world fresh, make it what it was. more..
