Ode to the Night

Ode to the Night

A Poem by Annie
"

I wanted to make a poem from the language that I am learning: Greek! This poem personifies the moon.

"

Το φεγγαρι ταλαντεύεται τα αστερια.

Όπως  χλωμο και πεθαινουν,

Το φεγγαρι κλαιει

Και νιφαδες χιονιου

Πεφτουν στο χωμα

The moon cradles the stars.

As they pale and die

The moon cries

And snowflakes

Fall to the earth.

I apologize if there are any grammar issues in the Greek part of the poem. I don't have a complete understanding of Greek grammar and her tenses. I also would not suggest taking this to Google translate, as it is not developed enough to have a dictionary worth of plurals and tenses. Just enjoy the beautiful language!
