The Envy inside me

Sometimes it's just these petty feelings that make one's world crumble down...

The Envy inside me

It makes me sad to see her climb up

Yet glad to see her grow up

Some times I worry about my envy

Knowing that it will be my greatest enemy

 

One day, I might climb high

But manage to fall down low

Was it fate ?

I keep wondering

 

The jealousy I feel when one exceeds me

Makes me yearn for success

But still feel incapable at heart

Not wanting to hurt someone close

 

Yet while I read this aloud,

Nothing seems to soothe me

Maybe giving up is the only solution...
