The Traveller's Dilemma

The Traveller's Dilemma

A Poem by AnKan JBh
"

The age-old dilemma of many travellers

"

Breathe out

Quietly like a whisper

Find that inner peace

That lost place of lore

Come closer

Listen to my heartbeat

Hear it sing out our song

As I try to hold on

Hold me tightly

As we traverse these paths

Covered in snow and memories

Of lost times and hopes

A million miles away

I hear a sigh escape

Trying to stumble through

My mystic lie of a soul

Its okay honey

It’s alright to smile

Let the smile wash away your tears

Let me hold them for you

And as we come to an end

As our journey winds down

We part our ways

Knowing we never are to meet again

I hear the sounds of life

Of happiness and cheer

As I slowly go down the dusty roads

Wishing all the best to you

I wear this coat of lies

To cover my scars from you

And I sing this song for you

To hide the quiet screams of hope

And as the snow starts to fall

I trace my footsteps back

Back to where we started

Only to lose my way again

So I start all over

With fragments of a dream

And the ties of reality to hold them

In this diorama of a world
