Love is

Love is , not a shaky feeling of the heart
Love is , not just good memories in your cart
As love is the force that prevents you from falling apart
As love is the sudden blow of cupid's invisible Dart
Having suspicion of treachery is not included in its package
Trying to bring a forceful change is just a unnecessary baggage
Coz love is, not a mistake or mistrust
Coz love is, not just a tale of the crust
As love is to stay put no matter what still we exist
As love is the aroma that even after our deaths float in the mist
Having the fear to loose someone is just infatuation
Coz if it's true then it'll never land you in such a situation
For a pusillanimous sailor worried of shipwreck can never even make it to the port of call
As love is the belief that even in the strongest gust of winds your conifer will stand strong and tall
Love is not thinking it's your fault if someone cheats and spending nights to weep
But love is the understanding that if it didn't stay then it was never yours to keep.
As love is not thinking time and again where this is going,
But love is gliding your boat with mutual rowing.

What a wonderful and well thought out poem. I thoroughly enjoyed reading. When I got to the lines 'Love is not thinking it's your fault if someone cheats and spending nights to weep
But love is the understanding that if it didn't stay then it was never yours to keep', it hit home and honestly, it's a concept I never really believed simply because I didn't want to believe it. I do now, of course, it's been so many years, but it just reminded me of how foolish I used to be. There's a lot of truth here and young love should probably read it twice.

Quite a good piece of writing, Anjeline...

love the last line especially....takes two to row the boat evenly...
i think in line 16 you meant "didn't stay"---
but wow...very cleverly done with the rhyme scheme and the beat of it...and the definition here is so true.

In line 16, I meant that if your love is true then your partner will never go astray even in difficult and tempting situations (strong gusts of winds) but rather stay always the same and yours (like the tree conifer which is long, tall and strong enough to be unaffected by winds)
